Miss Kelly's Cakes
As a pre-teen, Miss Kelly learned to bake under the tutelage of her Aunt Carolyn. It was usually simple layer cakes, both using boxed mixes and from scratch. Of course, as time went on and life took on grown-up responsibilities, Miss Kelly spent less and less time creating the sweet treats, but always enjoyed it when given the opportunity.
In 2009, after a layoff in the IT industry, Miss Kelly started taking cake decorating classes and not only rediscovered her love of baking, but learned that decorating cakes was fun! It started as a creative outlet, volunteering to make custom cakes for friends and family. Now Miss Kelly receives orders for custom baked goods for birthdays, staff meetings, anniversaries and other special events.
